But. . . My first bite of the season at the end of May, put me in my current relapse. I m still struggling something awlful but am hanging in there. That bite showed the same results.
So, my question is what else could have made me so sick, within 2 days of bite, that caused such a downward spiral ? I know what it isn't, but don't know what it was. . .

- A negative test result, whether on a human or a tick, cannot rule out the presence of infection. No tests are that accurate.
There are also many other infections ticks can carry, though that tick might not have been infected at all.
Yet, that you got so sick within two days of the bite is suspect if your symptoms are in line with those of any tick borne infection.
Do you have a good ILADS educated (and beyond) doctor who worked with you before? Can you consult them as to what your current symptoms are all about?
It's important to get a full assessment by a good clinician who will look at you as a person and not the negative tick tests. -

I also got sick once from a tick that I had tested "negative" .. so not everything is as it seems.

I was bit May 2016 and started experiencing symptoms a week later. I sent in the tick and it tested negative to everything. I am still sick. Shows that testing of ticks isn't reliable either.

My LLMD is so knowledgable with TBI's, chronic illness, allergies, autism, detox, diet, supportive measures, testing, ect, ect. You name it, she knows it. I have the upmost respect and gratitude to be treated for this mess I find myself in.
But she 's SO expensive $$$$$$$$$. But maybe not really, considering the terrain Lyme presents. Oh, how I wish insurance would cover our treatment. I know the success would come if I had proper care that money would provide.
I m still treating aggressively. LLMD says I m covered in the event of another exposure. Also said to avoid going outside.
Added weight training and slowly coming out of the abyss. It's hard.
Just thought someone could provide their experiences or opinion on what I came in contact with ? Would love to figure it out by process of elimination. Thanks again.

It could be any of the above, in spite of the results, plus how many other infections? Bartonella, Anaplasma, Ehrlichiosis, Mycoplasma, tick-borne viruses (they're really bad), plus all of the many, many strains of all of the tick-borne diseases that mostly can't even be tested for. So that's more than enough!
Keep fighting. I got re-bitten early on in treatment & it caused a bad relapse.
Yeah, we all need beaucoup funds to deal with this blasted complex. Not to mention a will of steel.

I'm not sure what you came in contact with, but for me as I was bit by a lone-star tick, I was initially treated with Doxy along with other meds (can't remember right now). My initial symptoms suggested that I'd ehrlichia and bartonella.
I wasn't feeling too bad the 1st month, but after 2 months joint pain got worse, I had chest pain, brain fog, and burning feet. We added in Bryon-White formulas. After 5 months of doxy and no huge improvement, my LLMD took me off doxy and added in zithromax & mepron and I herxed.
It's a lot of trial and error. I tested negative for all coinfections and reacted to only 2 bands on the Western Blot. Good luck!

Sounds like you got the 2nd tick tested.
We're used to getting false negatives on tests, why not with a tick test.
I was bit in late May and froze the tick, now sending it in alcohol to the free test in AZ.
After bit, I had/have symptoms I haven't seen in years since the 1997-ish bite.
Briefly relapsed too, now on doxy and wormwood/black walnut, etc. Will see LLMD in a while & budgetting $$$.

IMHO, tick testing is a waste of critical time and money.
Waiting for test results on a tick that isn't reliable, when you could be taking abx or something natural for killing at the most critical time.....and quite possibly nip it in the bud before one becomes acute or chronic.
I've never seen/heard of a tick test that helped anyone. Use that tick in a zip lock bag to doctor shop to get enough abx to prevent Lyme & co hell.
