Most of my twitching is below the knees. I Have noticed that the twitching decreases when I elevate my legs and also increases with activity..

Tcoach...

One good thing- at least the twitching isn't above the neck! You might rock your brains right out your ears if that happened. LOL

But, sorry you are dealing with it. You'll want to be careful that you don't go on to develop shin splints which are very painful!!

They can affect your lower legs in four different quadrants. Yes, bad enough to have the shins hurting, but all three other sides can be affected too.

For me, I've found that increasing calcium (I use coral calcium- powered form- by Source Naturals) works very nicely to stop the twitching and knock on wood ... no more shin splints either.

Some will say to increase your magnesium, which only makes my muscle twitches and spasms much worse, but each of us is different. You may find that works for you.

BTW- Were you diagnosed with Bartonella quintana? It is also known as "trench fever" and/or "shin bone fever" and can cause problems with the lower legs. Might want to consider that?

Also consider potassium and magnesium.
