Found this randomly crawling on my kitchen counter. It only has 6 legs. Does it look like a tick to you? I have been in Lyme treatment for years and am finally feeling better. Hoping I'm just being paranoid.
I will give that try. I've never used reddit before :-/
This is a bit nerveracking.

Doesn't look like a tick to me, either, esp if only 6 legs. But check. I don't blame you for freaking out, however.

so far, no luck with the reddit posting. It doesn't appear to be tear shaped like most ticks. Also, from what I understand, only larvae sized ticks have 6 legs but it looks too large to be a larvae

Right.

I don't think it is a tick.

It's not a tick.

It looks like an engorged beetle to me but I am by no means knowledgeable on this. I also recommend going to that sub-reddit or another science-y one and getting a student or someone who follows bugs to help you out.
There are some sites/apps you can look at similar pics and possibly self identify and ones you can upload the pic and get a similar bug look but I don't recall the names.
I wouldn't worry in terms of tick but you don't want any creepy crawlers hanging out haha.

I don't think it is a tick. Larva ticks have six legs.
