How many pills in script (if that is 90 pill prescription, that is a little over $1.50 a pill, well less that a cup of Starbucks)? Over what time frame did this happen? Thanks for heads up Bartenderbonnie.

I apologize for posting article that lacks meat and potatoes, so to speak.
Here's a link that explains it better. Including some arrests of executives and many states filing lawsuits against pharm companies.
Last I checked doxy priced crashed after the peak in that article so I am very interested in current price per pill retail. If anyone has any information please pass on.

And the page below- Medications & Supplements- includes a link for free coupons to get you up to a 79% discount on Doxycycline at several different pharmacies.
My copay for generic Tetra and Diflucan tripled from last Sept to November refills.

Doxy has not gone from 7 to 140 for most people because most of us have insurance, and at least in my plan generic doxy is a tier 1 drug. Was and is. That means $7 for 30 days. I dont know what that site is looking at, maybe wholesale prices? But that has no relation to what I pay.

Many of us have basic insurance with high yearly deductibles, or no insurance, or no prescription coverage. Every year the price increases and with so many of us unable to work, it creates a very real economic situation.
Many souls have depleted their life savings and had to sell their homes.
And each state has different criteria as to who qualifies for government assisted medical insurance.
Many states and insurance carriers refuse to pay for antibiotics for Lyme treatment after the 28 day mark.
Hence, the reason for this recent lawsuit, which is ground-breaking for all of us. . .
Has anyone seen any updates on the case? Has it made it into the courtroom yet?

In my state BCBS can raise its Tier 1 generic co-pay anytime it pleases without member notification. My silver plan has a $10 tier 1 co-pay but tetra cost is higher $30/month
