I've been taking 1/8 cup each day and I dunno if it's doing anything. On tickslayer, it's stated 'It is a disinfectant, antibiotic, antimicrobial, germicidal, antibacterial, antiseptic, anti fungal, and antiviral'
As well as healing the gut which I know is important and the main reason I started it

Is this true? Also I'd think with those properties it may cause herxing.

And what dose and brand do u guys use? How has it helped you?

I use frozen raw Stockton aloe from aloe1.com. The ideal dose is 8oz 3x a day, but since I'm sensitive to everything I started with 1/2 tsp 1x a day.

The 1/2 tsp was too much for me. I experienced significant herx-like reactions. Lots of sneezing, it felt viral. So I went down to 1/4 tsp 1x a day. Better, but still too much. So I went down to 1/8 tsp 1x a day, and for now that's the right dose for me.

It also gives me noticeably more energy. Not entirely sure why, but that was a nice unexpected side benefit. Also, it does seem to worsen my oral thrush. Not entirely sure why that is either. Could be some type of a herx possibly.

Overall I'm very glad I found aloe vera. (:

I have been taking about 1/4 cup daily in the morning for over a year. It is hard to know if there is benefit but I don't think it has ever caused any herxing or bad side effects for me.
