do you take zithromycin on a full stomach or an empty stomach? My llmd wants me to try it again along with mepron. I did try it a few weeks ago and got very dizzy so she took me off of it but now wants me to restart it. Unfortunately I forgot to ask her=empty stomach or not? thanks for any advice. Also doing ABABS drops, 6 drops twice a day.

Hey Linda,
Some meds say take on an empty stomach, but for the way we treat- long term and higher than normal doses- it is best to take meds on a full stomach.
If you don't you can crash shortly after taking them and be really miserable! Possibly cause some damage too?

I never could handle the zith, it caused constant herxing that made me way too sick. I did better on Biaxin with the Mepron. Keep in mind that option if the zith doesn't get better this time.

I would never take an antibiotic on an empty stomach. I don't care what they say.
Be careful of the ear-ringing and heart issues on this one. I also took more Biaxin than Zith.

Need to take Mepron with a fatty food to improve absorption. Peanut butter, nuts, avocado, etc.
