Just looking for some insights. My daughter has been treating lyme and co off and on for the past 3 years. The first two years she bounced back to 100% after 3 months of abx, but symptoms returned each spring.
Last year it was worse and treatment didn't really help her much. Then we found she was very positive for Bartonella (1:256 titer) and Mycoplasma Pneumonia.
She did 2 antibiotics for 8 months, 1 for another 2 months, and is now on herbs. She has been on herbs the entire time. Primarily MC-Bar-1 and then A-Myco.
Anyway, in February she started complaining of episodes of "dizziness" except it wasn't spinning / rocking / dizziness like she has in the past. She states it is the feeling you get when you stop spinning around. Except she can see and walk straight. The room itself isn't spinning. It isn't vertigo.
When this happens she states she gets a frontal headache, across her entire forehead. She said it is a headache, not ice-pick like and not "pressure".
She will be fine for a few days. And will then have an episode which lasts a few hours and then has some residuals for a bit. Then fine again.
It is worse when she has a viral infection like she did early March as well as early April. They were really bothersome for her. But got better when the viruses cleared.
We changed her herbs 2 weeks ago to MC-Bar-2.
I'm starting to get concerned. She had been doing so well. I'd say 90% or so most days with no real major complaints. But dizziness / head stuff is always a concern.
I'm trying to figure out what it is. Is it Bartonella? Dr. S says it can cause frontal headaches. But I've also read babesia can cause it.
She's never tested positive for babesia. But I know when I get episodic feelings of dizziness or odd /spacey feelings it is usually babesia.
It's so hard to watch her go through this.

So sorry that your daughter is dealing with this. It must be so difficult for you as a parent to not be able to fix things.
I get headaches, which are located across the entire top portion of my head (like where a baseball cap would sit) - about once a month for a day or two. The rest of the time, it is a feeling of head pressure in the same area.
This sounds different than your daughter's head aches. A very good osteopath we both know helps with this by relieving the pressure I feel with cranial work.
I do not have the dizziness you are describing. But, sometimes I get a little light headed when doing certain yoga moves, which makes me think it is due to positional changes affecting my blood pressure. (POTS)
Do you think your daughter's dizziness might be related to changes in blood pressure? Or a side effect of her meds/herbs?
I have never been diagnosed with bartonella, but since I have owned cats my entire life, there is a good chance I have had it. I have tested positive for borellia miyamotoi and chronic form of brucellosis (which could be bartonella in disguise) but current testing is inconclusive.
I never tested positive for babesia either, although I have had many of its head symptoms. I hope some others will chime in to help you with your detective work. Good luck to you and your family!

I'm so sorry. I deal with the same, except it's every day. I'm dizzy, but not dizzy. It's a hard thing to explain. Not vertigo. I always explain it like someone has shaken my head back and forth.
I'm still working on this, but I too feel it is Bart. It has been my MOST stubborn symptom.
unfortunately, I haven't found anything that helps except treating.

That is a PERFECT way to describe it stephfino. I think it is stemming from Bart for me. I'm pretty sure all the symptoms overlap. I do not have any classic babesia symptoms.
Good luck on Alinia. I have not tried that one, but it doesn't sound fun.

I'm thinking that she can't fully clear the viral infections that she picked up this past winter, and that with those, on top of lingering TBI, she has some brain inflammation.

Hey stephfino, do you have any of the classic babs symptoms? Air hunger? Just wondering because I don't have any classic babs symptoms, but I do bart. I tested neg. For both though. I always assumed my head stuff was bart.
