Is there any way to really know whether it is lyme? I have gone through so many doctors who go between thinking it is mold, lyme, or both.
My last doctor treated me for mold and after 8 months I feel no difference, and decided to seek another doctor. I wasn't getting better, and regardless of my igenex positive test, he did not think I had lyme.
I did a neuroquant and it showed neither lyme nor mold, and all my Shoemaker labs were abnormal, except c3a.
I am now with another doctor who believes it is both, but it tackling lyme first, but I always think in the back of my mind, how do we really know we are treating the right thing?
It is all just so confusing.

What are your symptoms?

So many....
Mainly brain fog 24/7 Light sensitivity Twitching Out of breathe sometimes Feeling off balance Depersonalization Sore throat Aches and pains randomly Stabbing sensations all over body Rashes
The worst symptom by far is the brain fog. If this was taken away alone, i'd be 85 percent better....all from one symptom.

What are your positive IGeneX test results?
Your symptoms sound like Lyme.
I was able to end all Lyme light sensitivity by drinking mangosteen juice, which I get at the healthfood store. I drink around an ounce a day. We're all different in how we respond to remedies.
Twitching would mean need for upped magnesium.
I had brain fog and depersonalization until we discovered I was low thyroid. I went on Armour thyroid which ended those symptoms! I'm clear-headed now!
Off balance - only a guess here - I feel this when my atlas vertebra is in the wrong place, so a very good chiropractor puts my vertebrae in the right place and that symptom goes away.
Aches and pains - I take capsules of turmeric everyday and that stops my joint and muscle pain! Very simple to do. Thank goodness for simple remedies!
It would be helpful if you would further describe your rash situation.
Again, we're all different and need to find out what's going to work for us. It's a treatment experiment.

It's never just Lyme. Lyme & co is a big picture. A few of your symptoms could quite possibly be Babesia.
I can remember when I first become ill and was blessed enough for my PCP to call it Lyme and he tried treating me.
There was so many doubts and questions. How could one be so ill, head to toe one hour or one day and then the next day, feeling fine?
The brain fog was also the one symptom that scared me the most. I could tolerate pain and other issues. But I needed my brain and memory to function in my world.

Rashes have ranged from blotchy, to scratch marks across stomach. I’m on antibiotics right now and I’m running a fever, I feel nauseous all the time, and I’m constantly tired.
