My latest bloodwork shows I am low in many adrenal hormones.

Low in DHEA and Pregnenolone. Low yet normal Testosterone. (Note I'm a man in my 40s)

Apparently this is common for Lyme and Mold patients.

LLMD wants me to start supplementing for both DHEA and Prenenolone.

Has anyone done this? what at the risks?

this is what im going through but my endocrinologist suggests i have secondary hypogonadism and is pushing TRT on me but im curious if that claim is legit because none of my doctors checked me for the other hormone levels like dhea and pregnenlone that could boost testosterone naturally, im 35 btw and have total testosterone at 174...its funny how some doctors never investigate the exact cause of our problems. Im interested about other thoughts on this

I wouldn't do TRT. From what I've read, you (and I) have low T because our bodies are stealing pregnenolone to make cortisol. This means there is less pregnenolone to make DHEA and T.

I've just started supplementing for both DHEA and pregnenolone. Will keep you posted.
