Hi Keebler,

I've managed to become allergic to most of the antioxidants that have sustained me throughout the years, and am casting about looking for a new one.

I really like Seagate's Olive Leaf product, which does claim to have some antioxidant properties. Is there any place, a website or otherwise, that quantifies how much antioxidant benefit either their product in particular or OLE in general provides, especially in comparison to vitamin C?

Thanks,
GVS

steve, Merci Beaucoup for your help.

GVS,

So glad that steve piped in on this. The link he lists has lots of places to learn more.

For my lungs, & for my hands, I ordered a new ergonomic vacuum cleaner a couple weeks ago and it has shaken my inner ear to the core - half price at HSN with time payments to boot - such a deal for a little Dyson that gets the stuff up exceedingly well.

yet, even with the very best dB rated ear muffs & the actual sound not even bothering me at all with those one -

the triggering of tinnitus from even short trials set tinnitus to the moon and seems to take a week to settle down. Then, tried it again and, duh, same effect.

I know that the sound travels though bones / skull bones / nasal passages yet, the thing is not even really that loud.

Still . . . it's just about sound waves in my very presence that I cannot escape with bone issues / hole in ear canal. I asked Santa for new ear structure for Christmas but I think the signals got crossed.

So, that also creates exhaustion and other issues for me.

I will likely not be posting here so much -- as I really hope to zero in on aspects of my treatment plan that I've pushed to the side due to lack of energy.

I do like to give questions a try at an answer in my own words, though, as it's kind of my own form of a crossword puzzle for a day. I might enjoy some of this stuff but then it leaves me unable to do much else.

I'm no scientist or medical person by any stretch yet from my basic understanding and feeble attempt to convey not just my enthusiasm for but also how I understand it:

I never "measure" antioxidant "amounts" but look at the overall action of the plant / herb in how it works, and especially how it might help support liver & kidney function.

It's not about any specific amount of "antioxidant" really as it is about whether it can address some of the things that cause toxins (viral, bacterial, fungal, protozoa) as well as help the liver / kidneys simply work better to do their job so that the metabolic waste can be transported out of the body in normal function.

Usually, it's best to have the whole herb, not just an extract of herb elements as - too often interpreted by the mid-20th century way of pulling out just one or two elements of an herb that they think does the trick -

it's the work of the entire plant's properties that come together to impart action. I don't say that as clearly as I wish I could. The links in that set will lead you to others who explain it far better.

Also keep in mind, that high levels of antioxidants in a push at one time can be too much stress on liver / kidneys and also usher out good stuff too soon before it has the time to do its work.

Well, once my mind starts thinking about something, it just keeps going.

Just dawned on me that if you are looking for something that has better potential, you might consider ANDROGRAPHIS.

I prefer that to OLE for its "strength" for me. Buhner's newer lyme book also says it's one of the most effective.

For me OLE is good but more for basic help. Berberine has some help, too, especially for my vision - but I had to let that go.

I can only afford one thing for the antimicrobial helper (and also some supportive stuff like magnesium) so it really has to cover as many bases as possible. I love the research on this.

ANDROGRAPHIS paniculata - LINKS SET

Just one of various places to obtain this brand - you can see ingredients, etc. This is the one that I can afford and do very well with. At first, it can be very relaxing, even sedating - and make one pee like a race horse.

First try when you will be home for the rest of the day to see how you do.

wait - there's more: regarding antioxidant support (though never to take the place of any antimicrobial item)

Excellent complement to any protocol for a variety of reasons. The nutrients in these are just superb all the way around.:

As you are casting about looking for a new antioxidant,

You might find various options to consider and some that will both target directly certain infections while also being supportive. His work is amazingly thorough and thoughtful as to all the considerations.

Buhner Q + A . . . and table of contents to his website sections.

His books go into more detail, of course.
