New word for long-haul sufferers of COVID-19 and the immune system. POST COVID IMMUNE DEFICIENCY (PCIM)
Studies show a reduction in B-cells and severe reduction in the total amount of T-cells in COVID-19. The only other infection known to do this is HIV! (I might disagree with this, what about Lyme disease?)
Yikes. . . .

“Numerous studies suggest that T cells are necessary for the clearance of SARS-CoV-2. In particular, CD4+ T cell responses directed against the Spike protein were found in 100% of healthy COVID convalescents (13), and virus-specific T cell responses were sub-optimal or impaired in severely ill COVID patients “
“As it is possible that neuro-PASC could be the result of a persistent infection, further investigations would require testing of potential cryptic reservoirs, including stool samples from Neuro-PASC patients.”
