Hi,
Has anyone done a consult with Dr Rawls or Dr Robert Groysman? They either are Lyme doctors or long COVID doctors? I feel like the long covid woke up Lyme and co-infections.

You are correct. A covid infection can wake up Lyme. It happened to me. I asked a FLCCC.net nurse during their Wednesday night webinar. She confirmed that it is well known that it can happen.

kgg~

I'm curious to hear your thoughts on this, especially since it unfortunately happened to you...

Do you think Covid actually reactivates latent Lyme bacteria in the body, or do you think it triggers an immuno-inflammatory cytokine response to the virus which doesn't de-activate as it should (similar to chronic Lyme)?

Or both?

Phoiph, I wish that testing was such that we could find out. Now, no one has said they specifically tested them again for Lyme and was positive. They reported that their Lyme symptoms were back.

I attend the FLCCC.net zoom weekly webinar on Wednesdays. Multiple times I have heard the docs on there say that Lyme patients who were in remission or well, came back to them after having Covid. And needed retreatment.

Dr P also reported he had patients that he had treated a decade ago, come back requiring treatment.

They stated that many times, it didn't take much treatment to get them well again. But that they needed specifically Lyme treatment.

Does that involve a trigger of an immuno-inflammatory cytokine response? Probably. But if it was to a virus, would antibiotics work? They are using the FLCCC protocol which starts with Ivermectin, addressing the spike protein. I believe the antibiotic they recommend is Doxycycline.

Is it both? Or is it just the way our bodies react to pathogens?

kgg~

Great information, thanks!

It is very good to hear it didn't take much treatment to get them well again.

Inflammatory response? Spike protein? Lyme bacteria? Some combination or all of the above?

Since both drugs have multiple actions, It still does leave questions about what is actually causing the symptoms, as you mentioned.

Doxy may be addressing the Lyme bacteria, but it can also be anti-inflammatory and immune modulating.

Ivermectin may be addressing the spike protein, but it can also anti-inflammatory and immune modulating.

Sounds like the combination of the two drugs is covering a lot of bases and is working (even if we don't know the exact targets), which is what really matters.

Phoiph, I did see two interviews of Dr. Bruce Patterson. He has patented a protocol and two tests. He is out of California. The test measures the levels of specific cytokine markers to determine whether something is Lyme, EBV or LC. He also has a test to measure spike protein levels in monocytes. Both tests are about $500 each.

His protocol involves using Doxycycline, Maraviroc (a HIV drug) and another med which I don't remember. Possibly Ivermectin? Don't know.

Maraviroc for the initial patients ran about $1500/month. I believe the protocol is for 3 months. It is now $500/month. Plus paying the physician fee. You would need to be very affluent to afford to see him.

Plus it really bothered me that he patented it. Couldn't make enough money? I have read of a few who swear they got their life back. But since I was not going to pursue it, I have not really been researching it much.

But if his theory is correct and there are specific cytokines for each pathogen. Then his test would be able to say which one someone was dealing with. Or combination of.

WOW, kgg, thank you for sharing this.

I watched one of the interviews and can't wait to watch more.

His research is truly revolutionary, and what has been missing in diagnostics for a long time.

Chronic Lyme, Post-Covid Vaccination Syndrome, Long-Haul Covid, MECFS, Epstien-Barr/Herpes family viruses, etc., can all be identified and differentiated by their individual immune marker signatures, and treated specifically.

He's working on whether actual pathogens or the sustained immune responses are driving persistent symptoms for all of these conditions (so far with Long-Haul Covid, DNA virus fragments may be present but are non-replicating).

The overlap of symptoms within these conditions makes sense when he explains the common biomarkers, yet they can still determine which disease is the culprit.

It is also encouraging that AI is being used in a positive way.

Looking forward to studying more of his research. Thank you again!

How can I see the the FLCCC.net zoom weekly webinar?

Posted by kgg (Member # 5867) on :

Go to the FLCCC.net home page. Hover over "Community". On the far left "Weekly Webinar" will show. Click on that. They want you to register for it. Then you will be notified 24 hours prior to the webinar by email. Additionally, if you scroll down, past webinars are posted.

You can zoom. Or they have a Rumble page. I found the Rumble page froze a lot. So I have stuck with zoom.

Be patient. Their website is very slow.
