Remnants of the Lyme causing bacteria may linger in the liver causing a reaction that leads to the chronic Lyme symptoms so many have.

Thank you for posting. I have been in the Lyme world for decades. Yes, I am that old. I have always heard that 10% of patients do not ever get better or respond to treatment.

My son is one of them. Early on in treatment his labs always showed liver enzyme elevation. I assumed that it was from the treatment. As did his docs.

But now I wonder how this played into it was well.
