I was bitten by a tick last week and need to see a LLMD. My regular MD does not want to treat me for Lyme diesease. The tick was very small, and the rash is not the typical rash associated with Lyme. I have had a low fever (99.7), mild sore throat, slightly stiff neck, and aches and pains associated with a low fever for the past few days. Symptoms worsen as the day goes on. If anyone knows who will help, please tell me. I do not want to get Lyme disease.

What part of Kentucky are you in? I went to UK and now live in Columbus, Oh. My dr is in DC, because I used to live there, but I hear they treat lyme at Foxhollow in Crestwood, Ky. It's in the Louisville, Ky area. I know they at least could test you there. Go to www.foxhollow.com. I previously emailed them and they said they do treat lyme. Not sure how yet, but call and see what testing they do. Hope that helps a little! Email me at [email protected] with any other questions!

I was told the Dr. in the Louisville area had moved his practice. Not sure if it is the same one or not. We are in southern IN and travel to Missouri to see Dr. C. It is well worth the trip!

I'd see one of the best in the country, right over there in Missouri. www.drcharlescrist.com for contact information.
Do a search up under Post New Topic and you'll see just how well thought of this LLMD is.

If you go with a "regular" dr or an ID duck, they often will only treat you for 4 wks......if you're still sick after that, you're on your own.....Sad, but true!
