I have someone who was diagnosed with IIH, just like I was and is stuck in that hellish pit. I have a soft spot for IIH/PTC sufferers since I know the pain and torture involved.

My pain was so bad that there was no way I could have lived with it & I am lucky to be out of it.

She needs a LLMD in North Carolina please. Also I will link her to this post & you can write her what you think as well. Hopefully, she will join our community and see how well we support one another, since we are all in this together.

Here are some quotes directly from her:
"In the a.m. or after sitting a while the numbness is the worst. I have spams in my back that feel like I am being moved about like a puppet. Restless legs, arms, back.

This was explained to me by my specialist like this...the spinal fluid is in a sac and runs from the bottom of your skull to the end of your spine...When it's full of extra CSF it presses on nerves and creates all these symptoms.

I thought i was going crazy for a while because none of these symptoms seemed to go together.

Neck pain, shoulder pain, sensitivity to light and sound. I only get the scary mental confusion, ringing in ears, visual flashes of light, and vomit in ng once thr pressure is very high and its time for an lp."

My advice would be to see the LLMD in Chapel Hill, NC. Have not heard any really great success stories from the doc in Asheville.

Send me an email if you would like the contact info.
