Hello, I've just been told my daughter (17) has Lyme disease (been looking out for what's wrong w/her for months now). I am located in Washington state, on the Olympic peninsula. Any recommendations for a good Lyme Disease specialist in my area?
Thanks!!

- Welcome (sorry for the need to be here, though).
There are several ILADS LLMDs and LL NDs in your state
(ND is a naturopathic doctor, not all are LL so be sure if you go to one who is ILADS trained -- also ask if they can prescribe Rx in your state).
I hope someone can send you some specific names. In the meantime, see groups at the end of of this important detail:
Your dear daughter needs to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease and its complex treatment!
Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. You need to go where they are.
Also, most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":
