Any suggestions?

I am currently living overseas and am not breathing well enough to dream about risking an 11 hour flight.

And I need an LLMD. None here, no ticks.

I imagine no LLMD worth their beans would treat someone long distance based on records alone.

Any ideas?

Hi! Could you edit/PENCIL icon your MY PROFILE and show the COUNTRY you are living in please?

Edit your topic line and show COUNTRY you are asking about. We have many on here from overseas!

This will help us direct you in the right direction ok!

Otherwise, try this link...support groups, but since I didn't know what country; I couldn't go any farther.

With your providing more info to work from, we will do our best to assist you! [Big Grin]

hi Betty. Thanks. I'm in Israel. There are no ticks here, and the only (few) people walking around with lyme here are those who contracted it elsewhere.

Doesn't make for a thriving llmd practice!

I think there are some lyme friendly docs in Europe. Try www.eurolyme.com or something like that....Try a search.

Alternatively, print out Dr. B's guidelines, as well as the ILADS guidelines, and take them to local doctors until you find one who is willing to use them.

You can find both here: http://www.ilads.org/guidelines.html

thanks for the tip. Will have to approach this one carefully. Doctors don't usually appreciate when patients self diagnose and self prescribe treatment. Waiting on igenex results a few more days.

>> Doctors don't usually appreciate when patients self diagnose and self prescribe treatment.

The good (self-confident) ones do. Just keep looking until you find someone who appreciates an involved patient.

I looked into the Europe option. Apparently lyme is very common in Switzerland. About a 4 hour plane trip from here. Still risky, but maybe an option at another point. Beats 11 hours to New York.

thank you
