I have been diagnosed with Lyme and would like to find a doctor near here-I'm between Baltimore and Washington, DC.
My family practioner has me on Keflex for 2 weeks but I read online that it is not effective for the treatment of Lyme. He has refused to give me another cephalsporin-Ceftin which is effective. I don't know why.
I had allergic reaction to Amoxicillin and have a history of allergy to Doxycycline.
Oh well

Hello;

Check out this website.

http://www.lymedoctor.com/

My wife and I used to live in Ijamsville and we used to take the kids New York Pizza and to Jimmy Cone ice cream in Mt. Airy, before Lyme disease destroyed our family life, and we were forced to move back to upstate N.Y.

From one tick bite in our yard in Ijamsville she was infected with borrelia, babesia, bartonella, mycoplasma, and erlichia pathogens all while she was 9 months pregnant. The baby was born with borrelia and mycoplasma.

That was 5 1/2 years ago. At the time she was near death. She is better than she was then but is still sick and still disabled now. She has not been able to work since then, nor will she ever work again. She is 41 years old. It took many, many tens of thousands of dollars of our own money to just get her to where she is now.

The hot shot doctors at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Springs told my wife, in her wheel chair, that there was nothing wrong with her.

The hot shot doctors at Shady Grove Adventis in Rockville told my wife why don't you get yourself into a nusing home - at 37 years old!

The hot shot Infectious disease docotrs at Frederick Memorial told my wife that there is no "Babesia tick borne illness here in Maryland."

We first found this doctor mentioned in the website thanks to a Lyme disease support group in Westminster. That group put us on the path to recovery, although we are still not there yet.

I feel for you people in Maryland.

Get yourself to a Lyme Literate Medical Doctor.

Your life is on the line now! Tick borne diseases are terminal if left untreated or if not properly treated.

Godspeed.
