I've never received the diagnosis from an MD (I've seen about 25 of them, no exaggeration), but I have almost every classic symptom, AND I've had a complete biofeedback test done by a friend who practices alternative medicine with vitamins, supplements, etc. I'm progressively getting worse, and I need help asap. I got the bite/rash last summer and was mistaken for a spider bite and poison ivy, was treated with and antibiotic and prednisone. I haven't been right since. I'm 23 years old and I feel like I've lost my life, I'm a single mother and my 5 year old son needs me. Please, someone, anyone, respond to me asap. My email address is [email protected]. I live in Georgetown, KY and I'm willing to travel to the nearest LLMD in the area.

fluffy, I'm not aware of a LLMD in Ky. There are some surrounding states 5-8 hr drive one way?

Would you be able to handle traveling that far? Also are you looking for LLMD that takes insurance?

Can you find a doc in G-Town that will rx an antibiotic for you. I wouldn't recommend anymore steroids. Taking antibiotics anyway you can get them for right now would help.

Usually a LLMD has a waiting list and some could be a few months or more.

You've come to the right place for help. Give alittle more info on yourself and someone can narrow down some possiblities for you.

I'm sorry you are here looking and so anxious about your health and child.

Take care, Pam

Thank you all for your responses. It just puzzles me to think that every single person in the world is at risk, and so little knowledge and treatment is available. I clearly remember my grandmother warning me of Lyme disease when I was just a little girl, about 7 years old. We lived in the country and she would pick ticks off our dogs and show them to me. I don't know if I could get a doctor to just prescribe anti-biotics, I could try though until I could get to an LLMD. I've become less independent since this, and I barely manage to just live and participate in regular every day life. I hate to think this could easily happen to someone else, and proper medical treatment is limited. But thank you all for your responses, I'd really like to see an LLMD in the Louisville, Cincinatti, Nashville or even Indianapolis, those are some of the major cities that aren't too far away from me.

Not one in Louisville. I'm not sure about Cincy, Indy or Nashville????

Look over info that Lymetoo sent you and if you need my opinion on which way to go or anything else you can send me a private message by clicking on my post and the envelope with 2 people.

Pam
