Hello,

I finally figured how to create a new post!

Currently I am being treated by a Doctor in NYC. He seems a bit baffeled? I work In NYC so it worked when I was working!!!

So far I've been on 6 weeks IV Rocephin 2 G.

I then was taken off cold Turkey and relapsed badly.

Currently back on the IV for another 6 weeks!

That's all this guy seems to belive in! He feels the 6 weeks in a lot of time on this stuff!

I just read a post that these LLMD doctors don't take insurance?

I have a great Horizon PPO plan that all the supposedly top doctors take? It's worked in the past regarding other illnesses.

So far the IV has been covered, but I feel that I'm just waisting my time while I'm out on disability from Work!

Thanks,

Jason

Info. on it's way to you.

It's great to have a PPO, as many specialists (not just LLMD's) do not participate in many plans, or don't take insurance at all.

I get reimbursed in full less my out-of-network copay for my LLMD, as her rates are very reasonable.

Check your email.

Hi Jason,
So glad you'll be posting now.
Welcome to the group.

It's not unusual for people to relapse when they are taken off IV.

Has your dr considered continuing treatment with orals after this round of IV?

Don't know what your symptoms are, but
have you been checked for Co-Infections?

Answers are not required, but will help people form opinions & make suggestions.

Based on the info you've given, I think you're wise to be seeking a Lyme Literate Med Dr (LLMD). I hope there's one near you.
