Hello Everyone,

I am Rob. I have been ill for one year now. I have had many lyme symptoms, blood tests were negative, even PCR test, yet I am still ill with Profound Fatigue, Arthritis pain, Twitching all over, Muscle cramps, cant sleep well, stiff neck, legs vibrate and shake, they feel heavy at times. This all began a year ago when I volunteered at a pet shelter in mass. I never before had ever been ill like this or for a year. There were many bugs all over the land as we walked the dogs, I would brush all different kinds of bugs off me and the dogs. Some dogs had Lyme. I know they cannot give it to me. My Primary care Dr. gave me Doxycycline after seven weeks, by then my hands were buring off my arms and I had other issues as well. It seemed to help after a week or two, but when I stopped the meds, it came back slowly.

To make a novel short, I need to find a Doctor who is an expert Lyme Guru, who can diagnose a patient with Lyme, regardless of the test results, as many people are. I believe this is Lyme, and I want to try and save what I can of my life!

I was on anti-biotics two other times during the year for bronchitis, so, that may have helped me stay a bit healthier, so to speak.

Any help out there??? Please???

Thank You! I am sorry for the long posting, I just wanted you guys to have a feeling for what I am going through and may be able to pinpoint it to Lyme, or a good guess.

Rob

Rob,
You have come to a good place to get help. There are a number of excellent physicians expert in Lyme disease on the northeastern seabord.
I encourage you to go over to Medical Questions and begin reading, and reading, and reading because regardless of how expert the physician you choose, you will have to be an active partner in this project.
Good luck, see you in "medical."

Rob,
This forum, Finding a Doctor, is the least active one on this site. If you go over to Medical Questions you can review threads, search the archives by topic by clicking the Search button (although it doesn't always work), and search the library and medical abstracts. In this manner you can read up on Lyme diesase in general, specific symptoms, specific treatments and particularly antibiotic combinations. If you post questions, you will get a generous number of responses.
When I began to suspect Lyme, I had about six weeks before I saw a doctor who would actually do anything. By then I had been reading in that forum for weeks, had followed various people's stories as they posted about their experiences over time, and had a pretty goos idea of what I thought offered me my best chance at sustained recovery and the lengths to which I was pepared to go. Apprently, I was on the right track because my recovery has been good and it can be for you also. If you want to know more about my experiences with treatment, you can email me at [email protected].
David
