This is not my doctor but I recently met this Internist, Infectious disease doctor who is researching and has been treating Lyme. We had a good chat and I feel confident recommending him.
e-mail me if you want his name and location.

Wow Foggy!
Hope this doc is the real thing, and follows ILADS guidelines. Where is he/she?
That would TRULY be a great blessing for me! I sent you a PM.

I would be very cautious. The big questions are:
1.Does he treat long term?
2.Does he believe that coinfections are often present in Lyme disease cases?
3. Does he know how to treat them?
4. How much experience does he have in treating long term cases?
5. What is HIS definition of "long term"?
Those would be very important questions to ask.
I do have the name of a Dr S in Provo.

Caution, caution, caution.
An ID doc is going squarely against the grain of their IDSA peers?
Yes--find out if he prescribes as to the IDSA guidelines or the ILADS guidelines.
