Does anyone have the name of a good general practitioner in the Philadelphia area?

I'm looking for someone who would be sensitive to my Lyme Disease and to the existence of my LLMD of 3 years.

Recently, I got the flu and really had no one I trusted to turn to.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Andie

Hey Andie,

The SE PA lyme group sent me a few names of Lyme friendly GP's, but all of them are in Chester County. Let me know if you would like the names and I can send them to you.

Im also looking for a GP a little closer to philly, so let me know if you get any names.

thanks

Cant,

I'd really like the names of the Chester County docs. That would be a hike for me but worth it.

Maybe, though, the Doylestown Lyme group would have other info. A thought...

Just send me a pm with the doctors' names, if you don't mind.

Looking forward to hearing any other responses here, too.

Thanks!

Andie

Hi,

I would also like to have the names of the GP's in Chester County. Mine is not yet very open to all my Lyme/co-infection treatments from my LLMD.
I would consider traveling to Chester County if necessary. Thanks.

I, too, would like the names in a PM of any GP friendly docs in Chester County. I am in Delawate County, but near the Chester County border so these would definitely be worth having. My current GP just rolls her eyes but still will treat me. Sure would be nice to have someone who is not an "eye-roller"

There's a doc in Royersford that seems to be ok. She's new to the GP practice that I used to go to.

Ended up there for a different reason (without an appt) and was pleasantly surprised.

I mentioned that I was being treated for Lyme and she hardly blinked. Asked what meds I was on and wanted copies of my latest test results for the file, but that's it.

No sighs. No eye rolls. No poo-pooing.

Still need to feel her out a bit more to make sure, but so far, she seems fairly lyme-friendly or at least open to it.

I need to talk to her again about something, so will ask a few more questions next time. Will let you know how it goes.
