I was treated in the ER for what seems like early-disseminated disease. Fever, chills, extreme fatigue for a week then 9-10 rashes (round, red, no itch, no bullseye). Tested pos for both IgM and IgG (41 on IgG but not M, which is why I think it might be a little further progression)
The ER doc prescribed Doxy 100mg twice a day for 3 weeks. My primary care doc is not Lyme Literate. I don't feel 100% and i'm scheduled to go off the abx in 5 days (3 weeks total).
What do you think - should I stay on longer in order to stave off a recurrance? Do you know a doc who will see me soon?
I am mostly worried that the 3 weeks won't get rid of it. Am I being paranoid? Any experience?

YES, WORRY! 3 wks. is not long enough or STRONG ENOUGH. read my notes below on many issues!
you only have 2 llmds in mass; 1 in boston is infectius dr. and does not TREAT/TEST for co-infections.
in other words the tick that bite you could have more than lyme; many OTHER diseases it CAN CARRY!

People seeking doctors in certain states might be able to get help from their state online information and support group. Over 1500 people belong to these state groups. Many of the groups are small but quite a few have 20 or more people on them.
Type your state name and lyme as one word, e.g. newyorklyme
For SC, SD, ND and WY, put a hyphen between the statename and lyme, e.g. northdakota-lyme
The groups are moderated so you have to apply, and we don't allow doctor names, but once on the group, you can ask for doctors in a certain area and ask people to email you privately. ***************
I want to make sure we have whoever on our NATIONWIDE LLMD list, which I have also with 12 other folks.

yes, those 2 are CO-INFECTIONS !!
many more than those 2 ... up to 40-50 PLUS !!!
