I don't personally know anything about him specifically. I do know though that Yale is famous for being in IDSA's back pocket, so to speak.

I would make sure you get some positive feedback on him before you or your friend goes there. Could just be a IDSA duck. [Frown]

This man is one of the biggest jerks I've ever came in contact with. I wrote him a long email asking if he knew any colleagues at all around the Ohio area... told him about my doc not wanting to treat me for long on ABx... told him my whole story. Here's what the old fart sent back

I don't want to give you specific advice long distance but I would suggest you ask your doctor for an infectious disease referral if you are seeking a second opinion

He is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan, where we went.

He is so boring, robotic, I can't even tell you. People were looking at eachother saying "What planet is this guy from". Some of it was because he's highly intelligent, but socially it is easy to tell that he is disabled. The man hasn't a clue how to 'scale it down' and talk to people. It was a terrible speech with no lesson to be learned.
