My daughter who is 22 yrs old has been sick for three years. It started with mono then she picked up Lymes in Greece. She went to 14 docs before being diagnosed with Lymes by a chronic fatigue doc at Johns Hopkins. She has only been given oral anitbiotic. The meds worked for a while however she is sliding backwards. She needs a good LLMD. We are looking in the Northern Va, D.C., Pa, MD and Del area. However we are willing to travel anywhere for a good doc. Does anyone have any recommendations or have good experience with a specific doc?

2. what symptoms are you having? fatigue back and joint pain headaches night sweats sleeping for several days at a time at other times can't sleep cyclical symptoms 1st-headaches & nausea next-night sweets & sleeping lots memory difficulty hard time with word retrieval depression throwing up sensitivity to smells hair and nails brittle some eye problems
3. do you have/did have BULLS-EYE RASH? *She didn't see any - could have had the bulls-eye in her hair or on her back or other places that she could not see*
*We have dogs that go hiking with her father - my daughter picks them up at the end of the trail. Both dogs have tested positive for Lymes and been on antibiotic treatment.
*The father had Lymes - a total of seven bulls- eyes at one time. He was given antibiotic treatment.
*When my daughter was about 6 yrs old she walked through a deer tick nest/infestation. I picked off up to 30 ticks from of her. The ticks were identified by the university of MD agriculture department as deer ticks. My daughter was given prophalactic amoxocylin(?spelling).
*In May of her 2nd year in college she contracted mono. After recuperating from the mono she went to Greece for the month of July on an archeological dig. There she spent much time surveying a field not yet dug up. The students were climbing around in tall grass and brush. Each evening they spent time debugging themselves.
* she started to develop symptoms in September of her 3rd year of college
4. what lyme tests have you had done??
*the standard Lyme test - neg *IGM and IGG - her G band was slightly elevated I don't know what lab performed the test *no urine test* She had many other test that all came back negative - gyn, thyroid, a few disease/parasites found in Greece, head scans, sleep studies and more with no positive results
ELISA, WESTERN BLOT IGM AND IGG and WHAT LAB performed them???
Dr. Rowe at Johns Hopkins diagnosed her as having Lymes Disease. He is actually a Chronic Fatigue Doctor. My daughter is starting to backslide and needs an MD who specializes in Lymes.
