Has anyone seen Dr M in NYC...What were your impressions?..Is he aggresive in treatments and compassionate towards patients?..

You might call his office and ask what professional affiliations he has. Then google them to find out more.
And you can call the area lyme support groups in the area to find out if anyone has suggestions about him.'
Unless you have some idea that he treats chronic lyme, I wonder why you would see a Rhuematologist. Sure, not everything is lyme and there can be co-existing conditions with lyme but if he is not truly LL and ILADS-educated, he may not be able to help you.
I hope you find that he is LL. However, most rheumatologists go by the IDSA guidelines and are big fans of NSAIDS (or steroids) to try to cover all the aches and pains rather than finding the cause.
And, even if LL, normally a reheumatologist would not treat lyme. A LLMD would.
However, if LL, he may be able to offer some help with other things. Good luck.
