Hi again, I also commented on your Dr K post [Smile]

This was my LLMD for almost 1 year. My 2 boys also were treated by him for a few months. My mom is still being treated by him and it's been over 1 year for her.

He has lyme himself and is older. He is very kind and compassionate about helping. I really liked him and he was the 1st doctor to validate me because he diagnosed me.

My 2 boys and I now travel to WI to see a new LLMD. We just decided it was best that we try a new one after some time treating with him.

Dr S doesn't treat with IV's so if you need that you will need to find a new LLMD. He also tends to like to use doxycycline for a long time and he doesn't switch to new antibiotics often or add a 2nd one until you've treated for awhile. So he's not very aggressive.

He orders a lot of tests which can be good or bad depending on if you can afford it. It broke us last year in medical bills because there are 3 of us sick.

These are all the main reasons we tried a new LLMD.

But I'd say he's worth a try to see how you like him. If you need more aggressive treatments you may want to look into traveling later. The LLMD we see is similiar to him with cost and that he takes insurance.

I hope this helps. PM me if you have any other questions.

Does he treat coinfections?

I don't think he was real big on addressing the co-infections.
