I've posted before, but I'm going to get more specific now. I am looking for an LLMD or at least a Lyme Friendly Family Practitioner within MA, as I believe I have had Lyme Disease for over a decade and it seems to be rapidly getting worse- I believe I fall into the category of Chronic Lyme Disease. I believe my mother may also have Lyme Disease, as she suffers from similar symptoms and most likely has been infected for the same amount of time or longer. My Primary Care Doctor is understanding, but relies very heavily on blood-work and not necessarily a clinical diagnosis and seems to be reluctant to diagnose Lyme- even with a positive test, seeming to be interested in treating the symptoms it's causing rather than Lyme itself.
I'm desperate to find someone who actually knows what they're doing and isn't pulling at straws! Any help is appreciated. Posted by veourtzigx9 (Member # 25094) on :
Also, just a note- insurance is an issue right now. I have MassHealth, so I am looking for a doctor that takes Commonwealth based insurance (i.e. state insurance).
