I'm having a hard time. I might just be scared and panicking, but I am wondering how much success (or lack thereof) people might have had with Dr. E in NJ.

I was very ill in 2008, and she got me into remission. However, I am now flaring up with lyme/bartonella.

She put me on a drug that she said isn't really that affective against bartonella. Why would she do that???

I had been on Doryx and now just started Cefprozil.

Was I just lucky to get into remission before? I'm horrified that I might be wasting time on the wrong treatment or with the wrong LLMD.

I've heard things about a Dr. M in PA and a Dr. D in PA and wonder if I should see either of these doctors for a second opinion?

Please help. Feeling awful, but don't know if it is herxing or going downhill due to wrong treatment.

Thank you for the list. I'm trying to decide whether I should go to Dr. M in PA over Dr. E in NJ.

I wish I could get a comparison of the two, but I'm sure the odds are low of finding people who have been to both doctors.

I use dr. E and wonder if you asked her? shes smart and fair but a bit rushed sometimes and might have just forgot to explain?..

Hi MidnightMoon,

I asked and she said that the cat's claw gets the bartonella.

I take one cat's claw a day...how is that possibly enough? I thought it takes prescription strength to kill the bacteria, but I could be wrong. [Smile]

Personally, I believe that an antibiotic is needed to really attack these things. Of course, I am not a doctor, so what do I know...lol.

I appreciate your feedback and will definitely mention this to the doctor.

I just don't like being rushed all of the time. It's scary to think that a key factor might be overlooked because someone was rushing and not really paying attention.
