I am a 29 year old female. I do not have a positive or negative Lyme test yet. This is because I have just begun to work with my current doctors (neurologist, rheumatologist, and primary care) to explore the Lyme idea. If this is the direction I want to peruse I figured I should start looking for a doctor sooner rather than later.
I started with the swollen knee and have had recurring and remitting large joint arthritis for 11 years and twitching/tremors for the past 3. Of course all of the usual tests for these symptoms have given no clear diagnosis to date. I am fatigued but not to the extent that others are describing nor do I suspect any cognitive issues.
I currently have Blue Cross Blue Shield HMO in the Northwest Suburban IPA but will be moving back to BCBS PPO in January.

PS.. Most of the Drs you mentioned will not be helpful when it comes to Lyme diagnosis or treatment.
