Has anyone seen the Lyme Nurse Practitioner in Amhert, NH and if so what has been your experience with her?

If you are referring to GVA then yes, I have taken my 16 yo daughter to her and she began treating in May.
20 months of frequent trips to pedi and they couldn't help and refused to do the WB, so I took her there, and she confirmed the clinical diagnosis with a WB. 2 bands only but lots of symptoms. She doesn't take insurance, and works all alone.
Perscribed 2 abx-plaquenil and Biaxin. I am honestly not overjoyed, but I have now found an LLMD nearby that seems to be better and more available. VA only works Mon-Thurs and you always have to leave a message and things take a long time to get done. I will say she took the time to meet with admin, guidance and nurse at the High School to help explain what we are dealing with.
The LLMD actually ordered a CD 57 last week which I had asked for from VA and she didn't think it was valuable. Her level was a 29! He also repeated the WB after 5 days of flagyl...and sure enough she herxed on day 4 for couple days. I think we will need to change the abx up, we still have 2 wks to wait for new WB results.
I am actually going to go with the MD recommendations for now and put VA on the back burner, maybe use her for supplements only. SHe is very well versed in herbs, tinctures, tonics, teas, and nutrition. I just need someone for the front lines, and this MD seems agressive and takes my insurance.
Hope that helped.

I have to ask, what's up with "refusing to do a WB"? I don't get these people. What's the matter with them? Doesn't it p*** you off? Argh!

Thanks pmerv for the suggestion, I just joined that group, and i hope they can help me along. I never knew it existed. Even though we have been dealing with this diagnosis for 5 months, I feel lost. I don't know how to help my daughter and I am wicked frustrated.
I spend hours and hours reading here and all the links, and I am overwhelmed. She has been backsliding for a couple weeks and started missing school ALOT again. And she still has one incomplete to make up from last spring when she missed the last 5 weeks of sophomore year. ARGGH! Tutor, homeschool I don't know what is next.
Just keep searching for answers, like everybody else. We are not as bad off as some and there is always something to be grateful for, usually Many things! thanks.
