Hopefully, you will get a name or two. Otherwise,

* Ask your LLMD. Ask all the LLMDs in your area. Just call and ask the office manger if the LLMD has a referral list for a neurotologist.

You should not have to the their patient for them to just give you a name or two.

* Ask at your local lyme support groups.

* * Ask your insurance company for those on your provider list with that specialty. (Would you need a referral from your PCP or be required to first see an ENT - ear, nose and throat specialist?

* Check with the medical centers in your area. Check their websites, ask their operator, etc.

* At those medical centers, contact their community education office and see if they have a Vestibular Support Group or something of a similar name (Inner Ear). Contact the leaders of such groups.

* There may be a professional organization site for neurotologists - I'm too tired to search that out.

* Do a web search, here's just one link that popped up (but I can't get it to go through for my city so as to check its accuracy. I tried a similar site but it left off two excellent names):

Another poster was very pleased with the doctors with this group:

NeuroSensory Centers of America

---------

There is one in Kingston, PA, that might be relatively near you. Their website:

http://www.keystonensc.com/

THE NEUROSENSORY CENTER OF EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA IS A DIAGNOSTIC AND TREATMENT FACILITY DEDICATED TO SERVING PATIENTS WITH NEUROSENSORY DISORDERS.

Dizzines, Vertigo, Chronic Headaches, Migraines, Dyslexia, Sensory Integration Disorders, Post-Concussion and Head Injury, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Pain Disorders, ADD/ADHD and Autistic Spectrum Disorders.

. . . This allows our doctors to ``treat the source'' of the disorder, and not the symptoms. . . .

---------
Insurance Information

Practitioners at the NeuroSensory Center are certified in the Defeat Autism Now! approach. NeuroSensory Center of Eastern PA accepts most insurance plans.

The Center is Medicare and Blue Cross/Blue Shield approved.

Among additional insurance plans accepted by the Center include Aetna, United Healthcare, Geisinger Health Plan, and others. To determine if we are able to accept your insurance plan please contact us.

lymeboy,

amberini just posted a great find - a neurotologist right there in northern New Jersey - and he's trained in the Epley maneuver.

If that one does not work out, you could call center in PA and ask if they can suggest someone for you in NJ - or if they can work with your insurance company. Sometimes, it is possible.
