Since I'm planning to travel from Canada to see an LLMD in the U.S., I would like to know a bit more about the doctors that I'm considering. I am trying to decide between Dr. R in OH and Dr. McS in NY, for a pediatric appt for my DS7. DS7 has no known tick bite and negative labs (not from a specialty lab). I'm still pursuing lyme because I am CDC and IGeneX positive for lyme and DS has so many symptoms - major psych stuff as well as joint pain, swelling, numb feet, changes in smell and taste, shocking sensations in arms, rashes, fever, tinitis, nausea, etc. He also has highly elevated CamK and antineuronals, indicating an autoimmune process affecting his dopamine levels (short list of things can cause this and lyme is on the list).
So, I would like to make sure the doctor we choose will be a good fit before spending so much time and money. Does anyone here see either doctor, and can you tell me more about her? Thank you!
