please help! both my children were bitten by ticks this weekend and their pediatrician's stance is wait and see. my mom has chronic lyme/babesia and I want my children to be seen by a doc that is lyme literate. please advise if anyone can refer. Thank you....

It is likely that the lack of responses posted here is that few lyme literate doctors take insurance. Call around to other pediatricians or take them to a critical care unit if there is one in your area and see if you can get them abx. At this point an LLMD is not necessarily needed. Just be dilligent and keep calling doctors in the area until you find one who will give them 28 days of abx.
Some drs will say one dose, it is not enough.

I would try a clinic/immedicenter. They may give u doxy based on the tick bites.
