Hi, I have been in treatment with Dr. P in Wilton. He's closing .
I am way better than when I first saw him a year ago .
I am pulsing on tetra .
I need to find a new LLMD in Ct.
Any advice . Thanks , I know there are many others who are now in my boat. Joe

I am in the same boat - see my thread on general support.

Just read the response "sad, another one bites the dust".
I believe Steve can no longer practice because his back problems won't allow him to sit in a chair any more.
I think the comment a bit useless for those of us whos sanity sits on a thread and his help has given us a rope.
I will find another doc I am sure . I believe he knows some and I will be talking to his office.
One is lost, others arise, its becoming to loud to hide.
Everyone I communicate with and I make a point to spread the word, has been effected by Lyme in some way.
Just saw a news article on Fox where a bunch of people in Japan are dieing from tick bites.
Are you looking in Connecticut , if so keep in touch and you can email me any time , Got some ideas. Joe [email protected] Posted by stork (Member # 24167) on :
Yes I did not find that one that helpful either.
Ok will PM you now. I have a few doctors in mind.

Wow, that's got to be really scarey for those of depending on this LLMD.
I hope all of his patients find someone else to help them through tx.

Hi,
Also a patient of Dr P and would like to hear about any suggestions. Preferably in CT, but I live near the NY border in Fairfield County and could go over the state line easily. Thanks all

Hi folks, I am not going to let this conversation sputter out but its the Holiday .
This week I am going to put the old bean to work. I will post any information I find.
I know there are LLMDs in Ct.
Again, I am going to leave a message with Joanne his secretary for some names and get my abx filled.
Hopefully Dr. P will stretch it out on the meds.
He told me on my first visit , I quote " if my fee is a hardship for you there is a Doctor in ______ who takes insurance".
I cannot remember Stamford , Stratford but he does have information .
If this letter came a year ago I would be depressed beyond wanting to keep going.
I have my life back now to a degree of acceptance.
I am a changed man with a broader outlook on people I never even looked at before my illness returned.
I apologize for the length of this, keep tuned in
Joe

There is a relatively new MD in Glastonbury who is supposedly pretty good. He is Dr. M.
I can say that I've been to Dr. K in Orange and Dr. S in Bridgeport but would not recommend them for anything but straightforward cases (if there is such a thing).

We can't afford to lose another lyme literate doctor.
Good luck gang.

Hi Lymeorsomething, when you say straight foreword are you saying new case detection w/ blood tests or like in my case the abx I am on , a year now and Dr. P had no reason to see me.

I just received my letter as well. Unbelievable. Have been seeing him since 2001. He changed my life - it actually feels more like he saved my life... I hope he will be able to get back at some point.
