Hello and thank you for your help!

I am an adult with a recent tick bite and bull's eye rash on doxycycline now for 21 days (100 mg twice a day).

That is not the worst part - after looking into Lyme symptoms, I am almost convinced now that I have gone through about 14 years of undiagnosed / misdiagnosed Lyme disease. I have been around ticks all my life.

I have (had) severe unexplained, rotating joint pain, extreme neck stiffness and throbbing in my head (meningitis?), ongoing numbness and tingling, IBS, flu-like episodes with extreme fatigue, brain-fog, horrible sleep pattern disturbances.

I have been "diagnosed" with seven different Syndromes from Fibromyalgia to Thoracic Outlet (since my nerves cut off from my neck on down).

Have taken some Celebrex for my joints, with limited effect, and refused cortisone injections, surgeries, serotonin re-uptake inhibitors, and various other treatments of symptoms without knowing what I have.

I am scared and not sure what the diagnosis, proper treatment, and prognosis is for all this... if it is long term, undiagnosed Lyme.

My current doctor is very good but had to look up Lyme disease when I came in with the rash, so he does not know much about it, especially the long term effects and untreated cases.

Please let me know if you know a specialist in the Northern Virginia / Washington DC / or Maryland area. Even southern Pennsylvania would be within driving distance.

Thank you so much in advance for your kind help!
