I notice that the three docs that I have checked out so far are integrated and/or naturopathy doctors. Why is that?

Lyme Disease Complex is very difficult to cure, and there is a high failure rate if someone is trying to be cured by using antibiotics alone. That's why it's very necessary in most cases to take other natural supplements in order to strengthen the immune system and get rid of the bugs.
Many doctors who never prescribed natural products ended up changing after they saw that the supplements are necessary for getting rid of Lyme.

Also, only a small number of "main stream" medical MD's have become lyme literate. There has been the risk to their licenses & practices as well as a stigma placed upon them.

Very true, Tim.

Tim is correct - naturopaths are already using natural healing methods, while MDs could get in trouble for doing so.
Also, treatment for Lyme/co's can fall into three categories: kill/deter the organisms, detox and fortify. Treatment seems to match the protocol of integrative, wholistic doctors.
That isn't to say that antibiotics aren't effective - they are! It's just that we can do more, too.
