I am new to this site and am looking for an LLMD in eastern Washington state or across the border in Idaho.
I am 52, have neuroborreliosis and a genetic inability of the immune system to recognize mold. I am among the 9% of the population that lacks the liver enzyme to neutralize the lyme neurotoxin which is released when the lyme bacteria dies (identified by Ritchie Shoemaker, MD). This, combined with my mold problem, contributes to a double-whammy neurotoxic load and MASSIVE herxheimer reactions whenever I've attempted to kill off the lyme.
I've been to numerous practitioners, both allopathic and alternative, but none of them have been LLMDs, and none have been able to be of much help. They simply don't seem to know what to do with me.
Please help! I am now very ill and quite desperate.
