Hi. I am in the military and 6 years ago, I was bitten by a tick, had an EM rash and was immediately tested for....rocky mt. spotted fever.

I was treated with 10 days of Doxycyclene and got negative test results, but ever since, my health has declined with no answers from the doctors I have seen. They have ruled out MS, Lupus, etc.

Prior to this, I was never sick, but since, I have had unexplained weight gain, thyroid disorders, explosive migraines, shooting pains in my joints, swollen lymph nodes, abdominal pains and memory loss.

In the past few months, I began having resting tremors and it is getting harder and harder to put together sentences and thoughts.

My internist believes that because the ELISA test that was run the week after my symptoms began and the one that was run four years later both came back negative, I must not have Lyme disease. But, she will refer me to any Dr. I want to see in the TRICARE network.

If you know of any Lyme Literate Dr in the TRICARE network, please let me know. We have been trying for years to get my dr's to listen, but they only believe in serology, regardless of symptoms.

Thank you!!

I'd also like to say that I can travel to PA, D.C., NC or NJ, if necessary. I currently live on the east coast, but I can go where I need to go, if it means someone will help.

Thanks again!

kb, Your symptoms sound very much like mine were. You need an LLMD.

Unfortunately, I do not think there are any in the Tricare system. I am sending you a list of LLMDs in your area.
