Has anyone heard of Dr. B in ON (he is new, not the other Dr. B in ON). He treats with supplements and anti-fungals - not antibiotics. but he is much closer to me. Or, should I go on a road trip and see Dr. M in NY? Both appts would be within a few days.
Not sure if this can be kicked with supplements alone. Need help making the right choice.

I may have just made a mistake posting treatment protocol. Mediator, can you please fix this. Sorry.

It's OK... just don't post dosages.

Have you asked this question at www.canlyme.com? Posted by seibertneurolyme (Member # 6416) on :
My opinion is that it takes antibiotics to get rid of lyme if that is even possible. Supplements are definitely not enough. Herbals are helpful but very rarely strong enough. The best solution is to do all 3 -- antibiotics, supplements and herbals.
Of course a lot depends on how long you have been ill and also how many different infections you have.
It would be very unual to only have lyme and not have other coinfections if you have been sick longer than a couple of months in my opinion.
This is not medical advice, just my opinion based on huby's experiences.

I haven`t heard of him...but I`m not in Ontario. I went for antibiotics over supplements as well. I think if you have a really knowledgeable person herbals can be extremely helpful and can cure some people- but I think antibiotics are a safer bet

I'm sorry, I don't know the doctor but I agree with Bea. It takes every tool in the toolbox.
