Does anyone know of a good LLMD any where in Florida. My husband has been using a ARNP where we live, but would love to have a second opinion because we have seen no improvement in 4 months. She does treat lyme but we would like to know if everything he is taking should be working and how soon it should show improvement. We are new to the whole lyme thing. He was actually bitten over 4 years ago with the rash and all. Our primary gave two weeks antibiotics and we thought it was over with until know. He is very ill and has been unable to work for the past 4 1/2 months. Could anyone help, we are desparate at this point and feel like there is no end in sight. Even a doctor in Georgia or Alabama would be ok to drive to. We are self pay at the place we are now, because our insurance doesn't take the doctor he is going to now. Please help if you can.

Click on "Support Groups" in the upper left-hand corner of the Lymenet page, then the state(s) you are looking for. Contact information will come up. Maybe they can help you.

Btw - Please break up your posts into 2-3 sentence paragraphs, as there are people on Lymenet who cannot read large blocks of text due to neurological problems from Lyme. Thanks.

PM sent, hope this info helps...

Also you should be tested at some point down the road. You will learn as to why in time..
