I need the info of a LLMD that will see my 4 year old. I contacted the one office, and was told to go to Dr J in CT. But since my husband is the only one who works, and everything, we just cant afford the trip, let alone paying out of pocket for a drs appt and to keep traveling to CT. (as much as we'd love to see him, we hear amazing thing about him!).
I live in Armstrong County PA, and my daughter was being seen by Infectious Diseases out of CHOP. She was first dignosed with Lyme when she was 2 years old, and she did 3 wks of Ceftin and we thought our battle with Lyme was over. Last month we took her to the ER because her knee was horribly swollen, and she ended up going by ambulance to Childrens in Pittsburgh. Thats when we became involved with Infectious Diseases. She did 4 wks of Doxy and finished it a week ago.
Thank you everyone!

I don't know of any in western PA, but I'm sure other posters will come along soon with that information.
PM sent for a good one in eastern PA.

Hi. I am so sorry, I know how hard this is. My 8YO has chronic Lyme and my 3 YO had a bullseye rash this summer which was treated with 6 weeks of amox, we thought we got it but her test just came back positive. I sm suprised about 4 weeks of Doxy for a four year old. I don't want to worry you but personally I would not use that again for that age unless there are absoulutely no other alternatives. Have you contacted Lyme Aid 4 kids? They will provide some funding. Dr J is trained as a pediatrician, because of your daughter's age it would be a good consideration. I hope others can give you alternates but please only consider those that have pediatric training, Good luck
