Hi Group!

I was diagnosed with lyme in July, though my PC thinks I may have had it for much longer. I have fibromyalgia like symptoms, hypothyroid, neurological symptoms - lack of concentration, trouble with words. I am also extremely fatigued, so much so that I have missed so much work I am afraid of losing my job. I am not sure what type of LLMD I need. I am most worried about my brain just not working right! My PC tells me to just continue the antibiotics but I am worried since I seem to be getting worse. I have a home in Boston, MA and Exeter, NH so any doctors in those areas would be helpful!

Thank you so much [Smile]

You just need a GOOD LLMD. You do not need a neurologist.

I'll send you some info!

Contact support groups for info on doctors...

Yes, I agree with Lymetoo. You definitely need to be evaluated and treated by a LLMD.

Check the online state Lyme groups at:
http://health.groups/yahoo.com/group/statenamelyme

Maybe they can help you. Some more resources:
www.lyme-aware.org
www.ilads.org
www.lymediseaseassociation.org

Once you have some names, write a new post in "Seeking a Doctor" to ask for personal references. This way, you will find the right doctor to give you the correct treatment.
