Hello,

I need help locating a lyme literate dr in South Florida. Two Western blot tests have shown posiitive IGG and IGM bands (tests taken two weeks apart) but ID docs say I don't have Lyme. Bc i dont meet the cdc requirements. Have numbness, weakness, stiffness in arms and legs, side of face, etc. Came on suddenly 4 weeks ago. Have had MRI of brain and spine - both negative and had spinal tap Friday. All negative. Lyme panel has not come back yet but the neurologist does not think it will come back positive for Lyme bc something would have shown up. Getting second ID opinion Friday but not sure they are familiar with Lyme. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. thank you!! Jennifer

Positive igm bands 23 and 41. Positive IGG bands 58 and 66

Oh boy do you need help!!! Stay away from stupid drs who know NOTHING about Lyme.. Like neuros and ID drs!!!

Read the Western Blot Explanation contained in this set of links. Your bands mean Lyme.

Check the online state Lyme groups at:
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/floridalyme

Maybe they can help you.

Some more resources for you:

www.floridalymedisease.com

www.lymediseaseassociation.org

Please break up your posts into 2-3 sentence paragraphs, as there are people on Lymenet who cannot read large blocks of text due to neurological problems from Lyme. Thanks.
