Hi,

I have to make a decision and I am looking for opinions on who to see. My LLMD is officially done practicing and I will be running out of meds soon.

I have narrowed it down to two LLMD's. But I do not have any idea which way to go.

I have to travel regardless of where I go and honestly just want to see a top Dr.

Does anyone have any thoughts or opinions on either of the people i listed above?

I am looking for personal experiences as well as thoughts about any info on protocols?

Please PM me and I would be happy to share further info.

Thanks so much for the continued support i receive here. I wish i had more to offer to you all, but i seem to be more silent and learn when i can.

From what I have heard the 2 docs have quite different approaches.

Personally hubby never saw either doc. He was not interested in seeing Dr J when a prior LLMD basically fired him and suggested that. His reason for not seeing Dr J was because the old doc had trained under Dr J and the pulsing of meds that the doc tried did not work and he couldn't see any advantage to going to another doc who practiced that way.

As for the other doc -- pretty sure they require some written info and then they pick and choose which patients to see. If you are too complicated a case then the doc might not be willing to accept you as a patient.

Choosing a new doc is very hard because it is so hard to know what questions you need to ask in advance. I learned a long time ago that every doc has their own favorite meds and some docs simply will not prescribe certain meds regardless of the situation. When the doc has that mindset it limits your options.

For 10 years hubby thought he was allergic to mepron. He finally got to a doc who agreed to try him on malarone (which has mepron as one of the 2 ingredients). Turns out he was not really allergic to mepron but apparently had a really really bad herx reaction to that drug. And then other docs would not prescribe quinine or clindamycin because of potential side effects. Those meds did not cure him, but at least he regained some quality of life for a year or so before he got the new tickbites.

Since you have to travel anyway, send me an email to the address below. I can give you the name of a doc who may be willing to do some phone consults in between in person appointments. That could potentially be a better option.

DNP S does not pick and choose patients. Bea is thinking of Dr. S.

I would go with DNP S. Many, many people are reporting great results with her and she comes highly recommended.

2 month wait to see her. She follows the Burrascano protocol. Will do telephone appointments after the first in-person appointment. You will love her.

That is correct, DNP S sees anyone who asks to be seen. I am in remission because she knows her stuff! Everyone loves her. [Big Grin]

Thank you all, I am so grateful for the support I have received. For those of you that responded and shared your experiences please know this was extremely helpful in deciding who to see.

For me, support is critical. Anyone can prescribe meds, but support and understanding is what I need. I need a plan and direction and you all have helped me realize which LLMD is a better match to my needs.

I feel like I have been floundering for a while with treatment and now I feel more confident moving forward.

Thank you again, I truly appreciate your support!
