I don't think that link applies to Dr B. He's a specialist who tries to help with your symptoms, not an LLMD who tries to get rid of your infections. He's one of the pioneers in his field, with decades of experience with TBIs.
When my husband's LLMD was out of her depth with his neuropsych Lyme symptoms, Dr B was a godsend. My husband's comment afterwards: "This is the first time in 6 years that a doctor has made me feel better."
But I've heard from another Lymenet member whose family member's symptoms Dr B didn't improve, despite long treatment. I assume it depends on the underlying cause of the symptoms--what's holding them in place.
And it's important to remember that Dr B is a specialist, to be consulted in addition to your regular LLMD. If you don't have confidence in your regular LLMD's ability to deal with your neuro symptoms, maybe finding a better LLMD is a higher priority.
But if you could do both, that would be ideal.

Just curious anthropoologista, why dr B doesn't treat the reason for the symptoms.... this is curious to me. DO you know? I am sure the answer is right there, but my brain is not right today

He's a LL psychiatrist. So he's the equivalent to, say, an LL cardiologist.
Pam Weintraub wrote about him in Cure Unknown, an excerpt of which was serialized in Psychology Today, and is online. Here's the part that relates to Dr.B:
thanks, I don't know how SMART drs do it! If I were a physician I would feel compelled to treat (cure) every single ailment that came my way- with thorough investigation and research into each!

i see Dr. B...he is not my LLMD but rather helps support the anxiety and panic issues....while he prescribes meds i would not say he is a pill pusher...he is compassionate, totally understands what we are dealing with...i can't say enough about him.
but again what he will do is help managed the symptoms....not killing anything.

I am kinf of confused..... do llmds adress all the lyme issues??? it seems like not. since I keep reading here that ppl have separate drs for all their symptoms.

If you get the right doctor, your symptoms will resolve .. Proper treatment is the key.

Proper treatment by the right doctor gets to the root of the problems. But not all LLMDs are as experienced in neurological and neuropsychiatric Lyme as you'd like them to be.
Even if they are, sometimes it's helpful to address the symptoms anyway.
Symptom relief sounds superficial. But when NuVigil reduced my husband's fatigue, that gave him the strength to pursue proper treatment.
And his sleep medication resolved the sleep disorder that had worsened the fatigue, attacked his immune system, and gave him hallucinations (really waking dreams).
Both of those were huge.
