I think I chose a bad LLMD at first...don't think she gave me the proper meds. I have now run almost out of time to get treated properly before it is too late and I'm doomed to be chronic.
Any suggestions...please.

Get to a top notch lyme doctor and you should be fine because you are catching this thing quickly.
Stay on meds if at all possible. They are bacteriostatic at low doses, meaning they keep the lyme from multiplying. So, that is a good thing. See this quote:
"There are four types of antibiotics in general use for Bb treatment. The TETRACYCLINES, including doxycycline and minocycline, are bacteriostatic unless given in high doses. If high blood levels are not attained, treatment failures in early and late disease are common. However, these high doses can be difficult to tolerate." (page 14)

If you are willing to drive a little further across the border into North Carolina there is a doc who could probably see you sooner than the ones in the DC area.
