In Florida. Has anybody been there? Heard anything positive or negative?

Not the best plan. You could call Yolanda Foster and ask! (try doing a search here)

I asked because a friend has a relative who is there now and is trying to talk us into going. It just sounds fishy to me. I wanted to get opinions here but I guess it's probably not going to happen.

Originally, when I found out about the place, thought it was just the place that I needed. But after looking into it more, and hearing feedback, I'm glad it was much too un-doable. Seems like a quick fix for chronic illness.
You could do a lymenet search and see what comes up.
---just my 2 cents.

I think it's just a fancy place that does supportive treatment. Yolanda F went there and now she's in Switzerland for a treatment there. So I would guess the one in FL didn't work.
I've heard of others who said it's not a miracle .. for sure.

- Not adequate at all. You need an ILADS educated LL doctor.
WHY you need an ILADS "educated" or "minded" Lyme Literate doctor (whether MD or naturopathic, or both) - starting with assessment / evaluation for lyme, OTHER tick-borne diseases, and other chronic stealth infections - and all that goes along for the ride.
Medical "models" explained here, as to differences in the ISDA & ILADS models of assessment & treatment - and exactly why it is so very important to know the differences. -

Thanks for everyone's opinions. My DD has been in treatment with a LLMD for over three years.
I feel really bad for the people I know who are going there. They are convinced its the right thing, but I'm not so sure.
I tried to get them to see a LLMD but they didnt.

- If they are intent on support over treatment, you might suggest they find a LL ND, who will offer both treatment AND support.
The center you ask about offers only support but in a dangerous non-LL manner (not understanding how lyme works and what is different for someone with lyme).
Most important, they do not directly address lyme / TBD / stealth infections. -

- When considering herbal / nutritional / adjunct methods:
if at all possible - because each person & each case is different - it's best to consult with an ILADS-educated LL ND (lyme literate naturopathic doctor) (or similar) who has completed four years of post-graduate medical education in the field of herbal and nutritional medicine -
- and someone who is current with ILADS' research & presentations, past and present, and has completed the ILADS Physician Training Program (see: www.ilads.org )
Many LL NDs incorporate antibiotics (depending upon the licensing laws in their state). Some LLMDs and LL NDs have good working relationships.
When possible, it's great to have both a LLMD and LL ND and even better when they have a long-standing professional relationship.
Be aware that integrative doctors can have various levels of formal herbal &/or nutritional education, perhaps even just a short course. Do ask first. Some have learned on their own from experts in the field. There are many ways to acquire knowledge and most are eager to share basic details about their training. You want someone with a deep knowledge.
Some of the specialities above may not actually treat lyme yet, for things such as physical adjustments, it is just good that they are also LL, at least to some degree (to know never to suddenly twist the neck or spine).
Links to many articles and books by holistic-minded LL doctors of various degrees who all have this basic approach in common:
Understanding of the importance of addressing the infection(s) fully head-on with specific measures from all corners of medicine;
knowing which supplements have direct impact, which are only support and which are both.
You can compare and contrast many approaches.
