Looking for a LLMD in northern NJ or southern NY/NYC. I had a relapse from 15 years ago and my old lyme MD is pediatric. Northern NJ is preferable. Thanks in advance

Be sure to thoroughly research any doctor whose name you get from sites like ILADS. These organizations give out any doctor's name that wants their name given out.
It doesn't mean the doctor is good at treating lyme disease and it doesn't even mean that he will follow the ILADS (or Burrascano) lyme treatment protocol.
So, using LymeNet or lyme support groups, always contact people who have been to that particular doctor before you lay out a lot of money. You want to know of at least one (preferably 3) patient whom that doctor has cured. Don't want you to waste your money. Then you could be sick AND poor.
There are a lot of doctors who treat lyme disease, but very few who can get rid of the disease for a person. That is based on my over 11 years of being involved in the lyme world.
I got rid of lyme disease. It has now been over 8 1/2 years since I completed my treatment and I am still symptom-free, enjoying my life.
Based on numerous reports, I don't believe there is any lyme doctor in New Jersey who is curing people. But, they may help you to improve to a point.
You may want to look further to find a doc who can actually get rid of this disease for you. You will have to travel out of state and beyond NYC for that.
